Dutch
Pain Foundation

Goal

The Dutch Pain Foundation was founded in 1987 by Prof.dr. Menno E. Sluijter  to finance research in the field of pain management. Since the introduction of Pulsed radiofrequency (RPF), this innovation has been our focus.

Initially, PRF was only applied as a replacement treatment for continuous RF to reduce discomfort after treatment. However, since it was discovered that PRF reduces inflammation by reactivating immune cells, PRF can be applied in various conditions where oxidative stress plays a role. We’re now looking into different funding options.
